Turkey Trot Ride

The trails here are sandy, occasionally stony, fun to ride.  There is one water hole on the trail, and a pond near the parking area. No facilities available as this is the off season.

Lunch is included for pre-entries and a hunt for hidden “turkeys” at 1:00 with prizes for those lucky hunters.

Ride is rain or shine unless heavy downpours or damaging winds are predicted.  At this time of year, we take what we can get–please call to confirm if weather is questionable.

Location: Cranberry Road, Myles Standish State Forest, Carver MA

Directions: Rt. 495 South. Take Exit 2 Carver, go left at end of ramp. Stay straight until a right on Cranberry Road. Turn right onto Cranberry Road. Take your left at detour sign just before park ranger station. Take your next left at Equestrian Parking sign (dirt road), cross over bike path (paved) and take next left.

9:00 a.m. – Sign In

Ride your choice of 5, 10, or 15 mile permanently marked trail loops.

1:00 p.m. – Hunt for “turkeys” on horseback!

Price: BSTRA members $20, Non-members $25, Juniors 17 and under ride and eat free

Meal only for everyone $10

Meal included for pre-entries. Pre-entry postmark  deadline is Oct. 29th – Online deadline is Oct. 31st.

Post entries welcome but lunch not included.
