DESCRIPTION:Calling all trail volunteers.\n\n\nApril 11th\nWe are having a trail work day in Thompson CT to work on clearing out some trails. There are a lot of trees down from this past winter.\n\n\nHand saws and loppers would be good items to bring. If you have a chainsaw and know how to use it\, bring it with you. Please bring your gloves and wear sturdy shoes.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will be going past the owners house at 105 Alm Road\, Thompson CT down to a field on Baker Road for parking. Take a left at the end of Barker Road to go to the parking area on Baker Road. DESCRIPTION:Give a Day! Make a Difference!\nBSTRA and DCR will be partnering up again this year to celebrate Park Serve Day. Since Park Serve Day began in 2006\, tens of thousands of Massachusetts residents have helped to prepare Massachusetts state parks and beaches for the summer recreation season. Please plan to come out and join in on April 18th.  RAIN DATE April 19th same time\, same place!\nWhere: Headquarters building at 107 Wallum Lake Road\, Douglas MA. \nTime: 8:30 check in 9:00 trail work starts. DESCRIPTION:GIVE A DAY! MAKE A DIFFERENCE!\nJoin the Friends of Upton State Forest\, BSTRA\, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation. We plan on getting some trail work done this year. Many of the trails are starting to get over grown and need to be cut back.\nWhere: Meet at the Headquarters Building near the intersection of Westborough Rd and Southborough Rd (GPS address is 205 Westboro Rd) \nTime: Registration and coffee 8:30-9:00 Working until noon time. \nBring hand tools such as pruners\, hand saws or loppers. We also suggest sunscreen and insect repellent. Dress for the weather with appropriate work shoes and gloves. Water will be provided. The public is welcome. \nA liability waiver is required. Children under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
