VIRTUAL NATIONAL TRAILS DAY BENEFIT RIDE
October 1, 2020 @ 8:00 am - October 18, 2020 @ 5:00 pm
Be part of the celebration of the 28th Anniversary of National Trails Day and help raise funding for trail projects! Be part of the fun which is open to both BSTRA Members and Non-Members at this Virtual event sponsored by Yered Trailers.
Registration may be closed for additional participants coming to our ride on October 17th due to Covid 19 attendance limitations, but you can still enjoy a nice trail ride and show your support of trails by participating virtually.
Each virtual participant’s name will go into drawings for four different prizes: $50 Gift Certificate to The Saddle Shed; $50 in Gift Cards to Tractor Supply Co; $50 Gift Card to Hardwick Farmers Coop; and $63 Gift Card for 10 lb. bucket of Platinum Performance Equine.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY:
*Register through the mail or online from our website – Fee is still $35 (except Juniors ride free) and fee goes to help fund BSTRA’s trail projects.
*Select a State Park or State Forest where you prefer to ride and complete a minimum 5 mile route between October 1st and October 18th
*Take a photo of you and your horse at trail entrance plus 3 additional photos along the trails and submit your photos via email to lynnparesky@aol.com using “Virtual NTD” in the subject line. Make sure to include your name and the location (State Park or Forest, Town and State) where you rode, and the mileage for your ride. Your photos must be submitted by October 19th
*You can still collect sponsors on your Sponsor Papers and compete for the prizes for the Top 10. Sponsor Papers and donations must be received no later than October 15th to be in the running for the Top 10 Prizes. Sponsor Papers should be mailed to: Lynn Paresky, NTD Organizer, 76 NW Main St, Douglas, MA 01516. Get your Sponsors Papers at www.bstra.org/national-trails-day
*Registered Virtual Participants will receive credit for BSTRA’s year end awards points as long as they have submitted their photos by the October 19th deadline.
The nice part about virtual participation is that there is no geographical limitation. Anyone can participate! Choose to ride close to home or to travel.
A selection of photos showcasing different forests and parks will be published in our newsletter, The Bugle, and on our Facebook Page. It’s a great way for everyone to share their favorite riding trails – and what better time than for National Trails Day!
