Trail Work Day Mendon MA

This work day is to do the final touch ups to complete the East Trail work that was done with the RTP Grant we received.
Work to be done: Creating some drainage swales and hardening the exit side of the swales. That means putting in rocks to “harden” the soil so water doesn’t wash it away. Planting some shrubs along one section. Clean up any winter downfalls.
Where: end of Quissett Road, Mendon. Drive all the way down to the trail parking area. Number 52 is the last house on the road.
Time: 8:30 check in, liability waivers signed. 9:00 trail work starts. Work until 1pm
Wear appropriate clothing for working in the woods, including sturdy shoes and wear gloves. If you have long handled loppers, bow saws or pole saws, please bring those with you. Other items would be shovels, hoes, and bow rakes for making the swales and planting shrubs.
Lunch: provided by BSTRA for all volunteers.
