Equine Safety Rescue & Ambulance Training

On Saturday, November 16, 2019, Bay State Trail Riders Association, Inc. (BSTRA) is offering a special workshop on Equine Safety & Ambulance Training provided by Roger Lauze, Manager of Equine Rescue and Training, MSPCA at Nevins Farm. With their innovative rescue equipment, including the Original Rescue Glide® and horse mannequin Lucky, they conduct hands-on workshops every year for professionals throughout North America. This is a very popular in-demand training provided by Nevins Farm! With the wealth of experience that comes from performing hundreds of real-life rescues, MSPCA staff is able to re-create scenarios that may occur when handling horses and other large animals. Trainings include material on large animal body language and behavior, general equine safety and use of equipment.
This workshop is open to first responders, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, barn owners, horse owners and other individuals who have a vested interest in learning how to move large animals safely and quickly in an emergency situation. Class size is limited to 40 people to allow each attendee the opportunity to participate in hands-on sessions. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
This workshop is $75 per person. No cost for First Responders.
